Academics Overview
Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, stands as a premier institution under the Department of AYUSH, Government of Keralam. As the Controlling Office for Homoeopathic Medical Education in the state, it oversees the academic and administrative standards for two government and three aided colleges.
1. Undergraduate Programs
The cornerstone of the institution is the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS).
Affiliation: Keralam University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
Recognition: National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH).
History: The program began in 1983, evolving from an initial affiliation with the University of Keralam.
Legacy: From 1991 to 1996, the college also conducted a specialized Graded Degree Course to bridge the gap for diploma holders, ensuring a uniform standard of excellence among practitioners.
2. Postgraduate Excellence (MD Hom)
GHMCT is a hub for advanced clinical research and specialization. The three-year MD (Hom) program is offered in four key departments:

3. Paramedical & Certificate Courses
To support the state's healthcare infrastructure, the college provides essential training for auxiliary staff:
CCP(H): A one-year Certificate Course in Pharmacy (Homoeo), which evolved from the earlier NCP course (1986–2010). Since 2024, this course is housed in a dedicated Pharmacy College building.
